About This Part

Takara Tomy launched Ragnaruk in Japan on July 18th, 2015 through the B-03 Starter, paired with the Heavy Survive finish, marking one of the earlier Layers of the Burst System. Its rugged moulding echoes the old Whale Attacker Fusion Wheel from Seaborg, carrying two flat, blunt protrusions with sharper trailing edges and an unusually even thickness across the whole piece, with most of its mass sitting right behind those two main contact points.

In Play

That mass placement gives Ragnaruk real punch in an attacking role, but the same design also loads it with heavy rotational recoil on impact, and its three average teeth plus one undersized tooth cannot hold up against it, so it bursts often enough that competitive players call it barely playable. A combination built around Armed, called Ragnaruk Armed Revolve, uses Armed's resistance to self-bursting to make Ragnaruk's attack usable against weak stationary defenders such as Deathscyther Heavy Revolve, though Valkyrie has since eclipsed it there too; overall it is considered a collection piece.
