About This Part
Takara Tomy released Psychic Phantom on November 12th, 2016 in Japan as part of the B-65 Beyblade Super Custom Set Speed Ver., building it for the Dual Layer System within the Burst line. Four waving blades ring the piece, two of them carved with wisp-like skulls that give the part its phantom theme, and the whole shape reads as round at a glance while actually tracing a square underneath. That square outline and the wave-cut blades both create recoil, and the short teeth beneath them cannot absorb it.
In Play
Between the recoil-prone silhouette and undersized teeth, competitive players find it bursts far too readily, and once the SwitchStrike/God Layer System arrived it also read as too light for that generation's combinations; the community treats it as a piece for collecting rather than for battle.
- Debuted in Japan on November 12th, 2016 with the B-65 Beyblade Super Custom Set Speed Ver.
- Its silhouette closely echoes the Gemios Energy Ring and the Evil/Killer Fusion Wheel from Metal Fight Beyblade.
