About This Part
Perfect Phoenix P4 is Hasbro's Defense Type Layer for the Burst System's SlingShock line, assembled by combining the Dread Armor from Dread Phoenix P4 with the Revive Core from Revive Phoenix P4; the alternate pairing of the remaining components is called Unperfect Phoenix P4. It debuted in western countries in the SlingShock Starter Pack Perfect Phoenix P4 1 Tower-S. Despite sharing its name with the Takara Tomy Perfect Phoenix, this build carries no metal. A bird with four feathered wing-blades sits at the centre, matching the mythical Phoenix namesake, and the locking Dread Armor can knock loose mid-battle to smooth the perimeter and reduce recoil.
In Play
Losing the Dread Armor drops the recoil but leaves the piece lighter and litters the stadium, which can interfere with Banking Patterns; the community rates it too light for the current Standard or Limited metagame and it sits outside the Classic format entirely, leaving it a collection piece.
- Debuted in western countries in the SlingShock Starter Pack Perfect Phoenix P4 1 Tower-S.
- Reissued in the Myth Evo Dragon D5 and Perfect Phoenix P4 Dual Pack.
