About This Part
Odin is an elliptical Attack Type Layer Takara Tomy released for the Burst System, debuting in Japan in the B-17 Booster Odin Central Blow on October 17th, 2015. Three sloped blades line each of its longer sides, and the centre carries a face on each side with a single red-painted eye, referencing Odin, father of Thor in Norse myth. Three medium-length teeth support a shape that concentrates weight on two opposing sides for a strong Outward Weight Distribution and Flywheel Effect. A second production mould later added roughly 0.2 grams to one side, leaving the piece slightly off-balance.
In Play
The sloped blades deflect incoming attacks much as Wyvern's do, cutting recoil while the concentrated weight gives Odin Stamina comparable to Deathscyther, and the community once rated it a top-tier Layer that saw tournament bans before the SwitchStrike and God Layer generation left it too light for serious play; its teeth also wear down quickly, so competitive use called for replacement copies.
