About This Part
Nova Neptune is a Balance Type Layer Takara Tomy released for the Burst System's Dual Layer line, debuting in Japan inside the B-57 Triple Booster Set on August 6th, 2016. Six wave-shaped blades make up its round profile, three larger ones cast in clear plastic and three smaller ones in colour, with a pair of downward-facing profiles at the centre standing in for Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. Four teeth back the rim, three short and one of medium length.
In Play
The sloped blades introduce more recoil than its predecessor Neptune carried, cutting into its Defense, and its Stamina and Attack both lag behind other options of the era such as Dark Deathscyther; stronger-springed Performance Tips such as Zephyr' or Destroy' ease the short-teeth Burst risk somewhat, but the community still considers it outclassed by Neptune itself and useful mainly in the Burst Classic format today.
- Debuted in Japan in the B-57 Triple Booster Set on August 6th, 2016.
- Reissued as prize number 04 in Random Layer Collection Vol. 5.
- Reissued twice in Random Booster Vol. 5 Gigant Gaia.Q.F.
