About This Part

Takara Tomy released Minoboros as an Attack Type Layer for the Burst System, first appearing in Japan inside the B-21 Beyblade Custom Set Attack & Balance on November 14th, 2015. Its six-sided rim is built around a bull's head at the centre, a nod to the Minotaur of Greek myth, with four notches around the edge doing most of the work on contact. Weight sits in an anchor-shaped pattern through the Layer, though the imbalance this creates is too small to matter in practice.

In Play

Minoboros suits Attack Combinations well and carries unusually high Stamina for a Layer of that type thanks to three tall teeth that resist its own recoil; though eclipsed by Valkyrie and Xcalibur, the community still rates it as a solid Out-Spinning option once a Burst or Knock-Out fails to land.

  • Debuted in Japan in the B-21 Beyblade Custom Set Attack & Balance on November 14th, 2015.
  • Reissued as prize number 03 in Random Layer Collection Vol. 2.

The Competitive View

Minoboros excels in Attack Customizations and, thanks to its comparatively high Stamina among Attack layers, is considered one of the best options for Mixed Attack setups aiming to outspin an opponent that survives its hits.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Minoboros is considered overshadowed by Valtryek in Burst Attack and Xcalius in KO Attack, and after the God Layer System's release it is outclassed entirely and only worth owning for collection.

  • Six-sided shape with bull's-head center motif, four perimeter notches, plus a large horn protrusion
  • Takara Tomy version has three tall teeth for recoil resistance
  • Takara Tomy release: B-21 Minoboros Oval Quake (Beyblade Reshuffle Set Attack & Balance), brown; also BG-02 Random Layer Vol. 2, translucent green

Related parts named in the draft: Valtryek, Xcalius, Siege Xcalibur, Legend Spriggan, Mad Minoboros (Minoboros M2).
