About This Part
Mad Minoboros is an Attack Type Layer that Takara Tomy built for the Burst System and the Dual Layer System, launching in Japan on February 7th, 2017 with the BG-05 Random Layer Collection Vol. 5. Drawing on the Greek legend of the Minotaur, it follows the shape of the earlier Minoboros but pushes the design further with more curved, flared-out blades.
In Play
It keeps a similar imbalance to its predecessor but loses stamina in exchange for its sharper design, and despite strong, almost gripping teeth, it lacks the major strike points that made the original effective for Burst attacks, so those teeth do little to offset the shortfall; the community rates it as outclassed by Layers such as Xcalibur or Valkyrie, and the SwitchStrike and God Layer Systems that followed left it too light to compete, leaving it fit only for a collection.
- Debuted in Japan on February 7th, 2017 with the release of the BG-05 Random Layer Collection Vol. 5.
