About This Part
Left Apollos, styled Left αpollos, is a Defense Type Layer that Takara Tomy built for the Burst System and the Cho-Z Layer System, launching in Japan on October 20th, 2018 alongside Left Aeclipse in the B-126 Cho-Z Musou Beystadium. Its round, spiked rim carries a face on one side representing Apollo, the Greek and Roman god of sun and light, and metal lines its perimeter under the Cho-Z Layer System, adding weight beyond most God Layer System parts; like its predecessor Duo Apollos and its counterpart Right Artemis, it can split apart to form Right Aeclipse or Left Aeclipse.
In Play
The pointed rim rules out strong defence or stamina, and the gaps between spikes are too narrow to generate real attacking recoil either, while the shape leaves it prone to Bursting even against right-spinning opponents; the fixed split gimmick also blocks fitting a Level Chip. The community places it behind Layers such as Archer Hercules and Hell Salamander, treating it as a piece for the collection rather than the arena; when joined with Right Artemis it becomes a separate Layer in its own right, so any change in performance from that combination belongs to the Right Aeclipse and Left Aeclipse entries instead.
- Debuted in Japan on October 20th, 2018 with the release of the B-126 Cho-Z Musou Beystadium.
The Competitive View
Its pointed shape has gaps too small to create real attack recoil, yet still enough to raise a meaningful burst risk, and it lacks the roundness needed for defense or stamina roles even against right-spin opponents.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Outclassed by layers such as Archer Hercules and Hell Salamander; recommended for collection purposes only.
