About This Part
Kaiser Kerbeus followed Kerbeus as Takara Tomy's next Defense Type Layer for the Burst System and the Dual Layer System, launching in Japan on April 2nd, 2016 inside the B-37 Booster, Kaiser Kerbeus Limited Press. Thin and round, it pairs a clear six-blade top piece with wide gaps against a coloured bottom layer moulded like interlocking chain links, its centre showing three flaming dog heads for Kerberos, the three-headed hound of the Greek underworld.
In Play
The chain layer and blade layer strike an opponent at the same moment and mask each other's gaps, cutting recoil enough for strong defensive play, though the Layer loses that protection and grows Burst-prone once it is tipped off balance, so pairing it with a steady Performance Tip matters; its weight distribution also leaves it short on stamina, so the community rates it as outclassed once the SwitchStrike and God Layer Systems arrived, keeping it as a collection piece today.
