About This Part
Hasbro released Inferno Ifritor I2 for western markets under the Burst System's Dual Layer System, headlining a Starter Pack as Inferno Ifritor I2 Magnum Liner. Based directly on Takara Tomy's Inferno Ifrit, the triangular Attack Type Layer is nearly identical, with the same three triangles and three pointed blades forming the creature's jaw and strike points.
In Play
Its pointed blades give it the same high-recoil burst attack potential as its Takara Tomy counterpart, with a downward slope that allows some force smash, but because Hasbro moulded it from a softer plastic it avoids the breakage that plagues Inferno Ifrit, and its slopes spare it the tooth-wear problem entirely. The community still finds it too light once the SwitchStrike/God Layer System arrived and too light again for the Limited format, though under Classic rules it stands in for Valkyrie in attack combinations, with bladers advised to keep multiple copies since its contact points can still break.
- Debuted in western countries in a Starter Pack as Inferno Ifritor I2 Magnum Liner, product C3179.
- Reissued as Inferno Ifritor I2 Infinity Zephyr, product E1051.
