About This Part
Takara Tomy released Inferno Ifrit in Japan on November 12th, 2016 with the B-64 Beyblade Super Custom Set Heavy Ver., part of the Burst System's Dual Layer System. Named for the fire spirit of Islamic legend, the triangular Layer is built for attack, with three triangles and three pointed blades forming its main strike points; one triangle shapes the creature's upper jaw and one blade its lower jaw.
In Play
The pointed, high-recoil blades favour burst attack, and their downward slope adds a touch of force smash and destabilization; four teeth, one short and three tall, let it absorb its own recoil, but the community notes the blades are more compact than they look, which caps that recoil and has led to a documented history of breakage with no alternate mould ever released to fix it - bladers are generally advised to keep spares on hand. It is judged too light for the standard and Limited formats once the SwitchStrike/God Layer System arrived, though under the Classic format its moderate recoil and burst attack make it a workable stand-in for Valkyrie, since it avoids Valkyrie's own tooth-wear problem.
- Debuted in Japan on November 12th, 2016 in the B-64 Beyblade Super Custom Set Heavy Ver. in metallic pink orange as Inferno Ifrit Magnum Liner.
- Reissued in translucent sky blue in the B-80 Random Booster Vol. 6 as Inferno Ifrit 2Vortex Hold.
- Reissued in the BG-08 Random Layer Collection Vol. 8.
