About This Part
Hasbro released Hyrus H2 within the Burst System's Dual Layer System, headlining a Starter Pack as Hyrus H2 Yell Needle. The Defense Type Layer carries four large blades, two shaped into bird heads.
In Play
It reads as round at a glance but the community finds it is actually square, and the corners of that shape create recoil that hurts both defence and stamina; its slopes carry moderate strength but cannot fully absorb that recoil, leaving it prone to bursting, and later SwitchStrike and God Layer System pieces left it comparatively too light.
- Debuted in western countries in a Starter Pack as Hyrus H2 Yell Needle, product E1061.
- Recoloured as Poison-X Hyrus H4, product E4721.
- The Beyblade Burst App referred to this Layer simply as Hyrus, dropping the H2 suffix, the same simplification the app made for Diomedes D2.
The Competitive View
The square shape's corner recoil points make it burst-prone and also reduce Stamina in battle, despite moderately strong slopes that aren't enough to offset the recoil.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Hyrus H2 is too light relative to the Switch-Strike/God Layer System and is suitable only for collection purposes.
- Four large blades, two molded into bird-head shapes
- Underlying shape is square rather than round despite appearing round at a glance
