About This Part
Takara Tomy released Horusood in Japan on November 14th, 2015 with the B-20 Booster, Horusood Spread Edge, part of the Burst System. Representing Horus, the falcon-headed Egyptian god, the Stamina Type Layer shows the Eye of Horus at its centre flanked by two feathered wing-blades.
In Play
The jagged wing shape and wide gaps between them give it high recoil that the community finds unsuited to stamina play, and its teeth are cut so short they cannot absorb that recoil, leaving Horusood prone to bursting out of battles easily.
- Debuted in Japan on November 14th, 2015 in the B-20 Booster, Horusood Spread Edge.
- Reissued in translucent yellow in the BG-02 Random Layer Collection Vol. 2.
- Horusood is one of a small number of Layers whose name carried over unchanged between Takara Tomy and Hasbro.
The Competitive View
The jagged wing design and large gaps create high recoil, unsuiting it for stamina; extremely short teeth can't withstand that recoil, making it very prone to Burst losses.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Suitable for collection purposes only -- it is summarized as "looks cool, performs terribly."
