About This Part

Takara Tomy put out Gigant Gaia within the Burst System's Dual Layer System, first appearing in Japan on December 28th, 2016 inside the B-67 Random Booster Vol. 5. Named for the Greek primordial deity Gaia, the Balance Type Layer carries two rows of four stone-shaped blades and a pair of golem heads flanking a large "G" at its centre.

In Play

Its blade angle borrows from both Wyvern and Victory Valkyrie, but the community finds the spacing too tight for real attacking use, pushing it instead toward knock-out defence, where the rounded stones deflect hits and its alternating tooth lengths give it burst resistance ahead of Wyvern. Average stamina next to Wyvern, Odin or Neptune leaves it exposed to being out-spun, and competitive bladers pair it with heavy Discs plus Unite, Bite or Defense Drivers for a knock-out-focused build; the community now treats it as outclassed by Neptune, Wyvern and Odin and too light for the SwitchStrike/God era.
