About This Part
Takara Tomy released Exceed Evil-eye as a Dual Layer System part for the Burst System in Japan on October 24th, 2016, through the BG-04 Random Layer Collection Vol. 4. A horned serpent's head at the centre stands in for Ouroboros, ringed by iris-like moulding that echoes the evil-eye curse of Mediterranean folklore, while the rim mixes three wide blades in coloured plastic with three smaller clear-plastic blades filling the gaps between them.
In Play
Those gaps generate more recoil than the design's teeth can consistently handle, giving Exceed Evil-eye lacklustre results in either Attack or Defense roles, though its shape does let it catch and burst the top-tier Maximum Garuda by hooking into that Layer's notches - a niche trick the community treats as too situational to justify tournament use, leaving Exceed Evil-eye a collection piece.
- Debuted in Japan on October 24th, 2016 through the BG-04 Random Layer Collection Vol. 4
