About This Part
Takara Tomy built Duo Aeclipse, styled Duo αeclipse, as a Layer for the Burst System's God Layer System, launching it in Japan on February 15th, 2018 inside the CoroCoro-exclusive B-00 booster Duo Aeclipse 7Star Unite. It forms when Duo Apollos and Duo Artemis are joined through the shared God Layer System gimmick, pairing the notched Draciel Shield-like half of Apollos on one side with the twin-bladed Artemis half on the other. The sun-and-moon pairing of Apollos and Artemis gives the fused Layer its name, an eclipse.
In Play
The hybrid shape splits its potential between Attack and Defense rather than excelling at either, and its combination of a lightweight build with aggressive, pointed teeth leaves it prone to self-bursting against heavier God Layers such as Sieg Xcalibur; the community treats it as a collector's piece rather than a tournament choice.
- Debuted in Japan on February 15th, 2018 in the CoroCoro-exclusive B-00 booster Duo Aeclipse 7Star Unite
- The name is stylized as Duo αeclipse, replacing the letter A with the Greek letter alpha.
