About This Part

Driger V2, sometimes called Driger Vulcan 2, arrived in Japan on May 28th, 2022, in the B-198 Random Booster Vol. 29 as Takara Tomy's Burst System take on the part. It rebuilds the Driger Bit Chip, Upper Claw Attack Ring and Upper Attack Support Parts from the Magnacore System's Driger V2, keeping two tiger heads leading into long slopes for Upper Attack but rounding the shape and stretching the heads compared with the original ring; a fixed metal chip depicts the Driger bit-beast at the centre. Where the Magnacore version's support parts came in two pieces, the Burst System redesign combines them into one, and that piece restricts the layer to DB or QD Discs when attached, while any disc works once it is removed.

In Play

With its support parts in place, Driger V2's round shape suits it to Stamina combinations built around top-tier drivers such as Bearing' and High Xtend+', and the community rates it the heaviest and most competitive of the Original Series remakes, strong enough that it became the only one of those remakes banned from the WBO's Burst Limited Format, five months after release, on October 25th, 2022. It is considered too light against Dynamite Battle Layers for the current Burst format unless paired with a heavy, circular DB Disc such as Over or Illegal, but the community calls it a must-have for the Burst GT format, where its round shape and Hasbro's round QD Discs, such as Tapered-Q, let it compete with Gatinko Layers.
