About This Part

Built around four wings — two small clear-plastic ones and two larger coloured ones molded into demon-head shapes matching the anime's winged-demon beast — Crash Ragnaruk is a Takara Tomy layer released in Japan with the B-111 Random Booster Vol. 10 Crash Ragnaruk.11R.Wd on April 28th, 2018, as part of the Burst System and Cho-Z Layer System. Like predecessor Blaze Ragnaruk, it carries a "Stamina Wings" gimmick, though here the wings are metal, adding stamina-boosting weight even though the swivel action itself does nothing in battle.

In Play

The compact, rounded wing placement keeps recoil low and its outward weight distribution boosts stamina, but its four teeth are only medium-short, which the layer's heavy weight and smooth perimeter compensate for to reach tournament-acceptable burst resistance; the community rates it top-tier for stamina builds, ahead of Deep Chaos on burst resistance, though Hell Salamander and Archer Hercules can match or beat it outright.

  • Released in Japan in the B-111 Random Booster Vol. 10 Crash Ragnaruk.11R.Wd on April 28th, 2018.

The Competitive View

The metal-weighted wings raise theoretical Stamina Potential via Outward Weight Distribution, but the Stamina Wings are argued to be too small to meaningfully help, and their wider base than predecessor Blaze Ragnaruk is said to create extra recoil points that drain Stamina on impact.

  • Round shape with two/four large wing-shaped heads
  • Chou-Z Layer System construction with metal concentrated in the wings
  • Later revision describes four wings: two small clear-plastic wings and two larger colored-plastic wings
  • Compatible with an underlying Level Chip for balance/weight (Chou-Z Layers)
