About This Part

Cho-Z Spriggan takes its name and two head motifs from the spriggan of Cornish folklore, built around a round perimeter with wide gaps and a large double-bladed axe running from centre to rim, and Takara Tomy released it in Japan with the B-128 Cho-Z Customize Set on November 17th, 2018. Like its predecessors Legend Spriggan and Spriggan Requiem, it carries a metal "Metal God Chip" at its centre and switches between two sets of teeth for right-spin and left-spin use, and it also carries the "Cho-Z Awakening System" gimmick that pops out burst-stopper tabs at high spin speed to resist bursting.

In Play

Its blades sit high and are largely blocked from contact by the layer's thickness, so it performs poorly for attack despite resembling Legend Spriggan's right-spin blades, and the community instead runs it in spin-equalization defense/stamina builds set to spin opposite the opponent; it was once top-tier but is now considered too light for the current competitive scene and kept mainly for collecting.

  • Released in Japan in the B-128 Cho-Z Customize Set on November 17th, 2018.

The Competitive View

Its Cho-Z Awaken 'overpowered' nature is noted as raising burst risk; detailed performance and combo recommendations remain incomplete, pending further testing.

  • Dual-spin capable (left or right)
  • No metal, unlike other Cho-Z Awaken layers
  • Teeth can come loose during battle
