About This Part

Chaos, made by Takara Tomy, forms a nearly circular ring split by two gapped wings, each carrying a head motif representing a legendary warrior, and debuted in Japan as the prize layer in BG-01 Random Layer Collection Vol. 1 in December 2015. Its transparent black casing sits over white plastic concentrated at the rim, and three mold variations exist: the original with four even teeth, an Asian-release mold with a taller third tooth and a centre "C" mark, and the Soul Gold Ver. mold, which adds reinforcing plastic posts that raise its weight by half a gram.

In Play

Its round shape gives it strong stamina, but teeth on the underside that sit shorter than the central ring make it burst extremely easily, so the community treats it as too risky for top-tier decks outside a niche stamina build like Chaos Heavy Defense, and generally keeps it for collecting rather than competitive play.

  • Debuted in Japan as the prize layer in BG-01 Random Layer Collection Vol. 1 in December 2015.
  • A second mold with a taller third tooth and a centre 'C' mark was introduced with Asian releases.
  • A third mold, introduced with the Soul Gold Ver., added reinforcing plastic posts inside the wings.

The Competitive View

Excellent stamina when it survives a battle without bursting, but unusually short center teeth make it burst very easily under any real hit; the Chaos Heavy Defense stamina combo is noted as a viable option for players willing to accept that risk.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Not fit for top-tier competitive use due to how easily it can be knocked loose from a Driver, despite remarkable stamina endurance when undisturbed.
