About This Part
Takara Tomy released Beast Behemoth in Japan on November 12th, 2016 through the B-63 Booster Beast Behemoth Heavy Hold, for the Burst System's Dual Layer System. The mould is largely round, with a beast's head at centre biting down on the circle carrying the Layer's "B" mark, built from a coloured bottom section shaped like two jaw-like arches beneath a clear top section of five widely spaced, pinwheel-like blades, both edged with small serrated teeth. Because of the part's overall height, an opponent's Layer tends to strike both sections together, so those serrations barely add recoil, while three tall teeth similar to those on Victory Valkyrie support steadier defensive play.
In Play
Those strong teeth and fairly round profile made it a workable choice for defence combinations in its day, though Dark Deathscyther outclassed it even then, and the later SwitchStrike and God Layer Systems left it too light to compete; the community now treats it as a piece for a collection.
- Released by Takara Tomy as B-63 Beast Behemoth Heavy Hold (lavender), Japan, November 12th, 2016.
