About This Part
Styled on release as βaldur, Baldur is a Takara Tomy Layer that reached Japan on June 25th, 2016 through the B-00β Rare Bey Get Battle Exclusive Booster Baldur Bumper Bite. Its decagonal frame carries a face on one side representing Baldur, the Nordic god of light, with each of its ten sides alternating between a shield-shaped protrusion and a smaller one moulded in clear plastic; the shallow gaps and obtuse angles of that outline keep recoil low enough for its medium-length teeth to handle.
In Play
These traits give it solid results in defence combinations, though it still trails parts such as Dark Deathscyther and Alter Chronos thanks to its rougher perimeter and no more than average stamina. Once the SwitchStrike and God Layer Systems arrived it became too light to keep pace, and the community now treats it as a collector's piece.
