About This Part
Alter Chronos is a Layer that Takara Tomy released for the Burst System and God Layer System, debuting in Japan inside the B-82 Booster, Alter Chronos 6Meteor Trans, on May 27th, 2017. Built with five large blades — one reaching further out than the rest — it depicts Chronos, the personification of time, beneath its God Chip, surrounded by gears that echo the time motif. As a God Layer, its underside can be shifted between a Stamina Mode, marked by a blue dot, that spreads weight evenly for a stable spin, and an Attack Mode, marked by a red dot, that pulls weight to one side for an unstable spin capable of destabilizing an opponent through small slopes on its blades.
In Play
The outward weight distribution built into its Attack Mode gives Alter Chronos solid stamina, though the community ranks it well behind Drain Fafnir and Deep Chaos on that front; its real strength lies in Defense, where its compact, low-recoil blades, stamina edge over most other Defense Layers and strong teeth made it a top-tier choice for Defense combinations, most notably paired as 0/2/4/5/7 Glaive or Cross with an Atomic, Orbit or Revolve driver, though the release of Spriggan Requiem and Emperor Forneus has since pushed it out of the top tier.

The Competitive View
In Stamina Mode the layer favors stationary or mobile stamina builds depending on the paired tip, while Attack Mode trades spin time for destabilizing power, suiting either stamina-countering or knockout-attack builds; use in customizations and an overall verdict remain untested pending more results.
