About This Part

Air Knight is a Layer that Takara Tomy released for the Burst System and Cho-Z Layer System, debuting in Japan inside the B-130 Random Booster Vol. 13 Air Knight.12E.Et on December 27th, 2018. Built as a wide, round stamina piece, it lines its inner rim with metal in keeping with the Cho-Z line's construction, and carries blades linked to its perimeter meant to generate Upper Force as a successor to Maximum Garuda's design. In principle that Upper Force lifts the top slightly and cuts friction between Driver and stadium floor to stretch spin time; in practice the blades instead add drag that slows the top, an effect that worsens the harder it is launched.

In Play

Air Knight held up as a solid stamina choice at release, but the community now considers it too light for the current competitive metagame and treats it as a collector's piece; it is barred from both the WBO's Burst Limited and Burst Classic formats.
