About This Part
The Viper Hydrax H5 and Dullahan D5 Dual Pack marked the western debut of Hydrax H5, a left-spin GT Chip Hasbro built for the Burst System and the HyperSphere System. Its face carries a monstrous visage with four snake heads standing in for the Hydra of Greek myth, and a hexagon at its centre echoes the middle of the Ten Weight. The chip carries below-average mass for a GT Chip and offers low burst resistance.
In Play
With low burst resistance and light mass, competitive players generally pass over Hydrax H5 in favour of sturdier GT Chips.
- Debuted in the Viper Hydrax H5 and Dullahan D5 Dual Pack.
- Reissued as Lord Hydrax H5 alongside Spiral Treptune T4.
- Packaged again in the Battle Heroes 3-Pack.
- Despite carrying a new avatar design, Hydrax H5 strongly recalls the earlier Typhon T4 Layer.
