About This Part

A pair of opposing points give Hasbro's 2 Gravity Ring its profile, a Burst System QuadDrive System part that debuted west inside the Cosmic Vector Battle Set. It borrows the two-point layout of Takara Tomy's 2 Armor but is moulded in plastic, dropping its weight from roughly 13.7 grams to about 1.5 grams; concentrating mass at those two points is meant to boost Attack, though since every Gravity Ring shares the same light plastic, the community treats the effect as negligible.

In Play

The community rates QuadDrive System Layers as outclassed once Takara Tomy's Cho-Z Layer System arrives, leaving 2 a collection piece in Standard and Limited play; it carries no legality in Burst Classic.

  • Brought to western markets by Hasbro in the Cosmic Vector Battle Set.
  • Its weight was reduced from about 13.7 grams in Takara Tomy's metal 2 Armor to roughly 1.5 grams in the plastic Gravity Ring.

The Competitive View

Even weight distribution and average weight give acceptable performance broadly -- enough momentum for Attack combos, enough Knock-Out resistance for Defense, and acceptable stamina and Burst resistance for Stamina combos.

Verdict as the draft gives it: A versatile, welcome-addition Disk usable in any combo type, and an alternative when 4 (better for Stamina/Defense) or 7 (better for Attack/Defense) are unavailable.
