About This Part

Hasbro's 1 is a Gravity Ring made for the Burst System's QuadDrive and QuadStrike Systems, debuting west with the Xcalius Power Speed Launcher Set. It mirrors the asymmetrical shape of Takara Tomy's 1 Armor but is cast in plastic instead of metal, cutting its weight and shifting the point where mass concentrates to line up with Hasbro's redesigned Xiphoid QS Blade. The lopsided shape is meant to unbalance weight distribution for greater Attack, though in practice the difference between plastic Gravity Rings is judged negligible.

In Play

Because all Gravity Rings share roughly the same plastic construction, the community sees little reason to favour 1 over any other, and QuadDrive System Layers overall are judged outclassed once Takara Tomy's Cho-Z Layer System is available; 1 has no legality in the Burst Classic Format.

  • Brought to western markets by Hasbro in the Xcalius Power Speed Launcher Set.

The Competitive View

The uneven weight distribution boosts burst-attack momentum in attack builds and, thanks to 1's heavier overall weight, can also be used to counterbalance an unbalanced layer such as Sieg Xcalibur for better stamina, but that same imbalance makes 1 burst and lose stamina faster in stamina or defense roles.

  • Debuted B-92 Sieg Xcalibur 1 Iron, September 16, 2017
  • Asymmetrical, elliptical shape designed to support a Frame

Works with

  • Can be oriented opposite an unbalanced layer such as Sieg Xcalibur to improve stamina and burst resistance.
