About This Part

Longinus is a left-spin Gatinko Chip Takara Tomy produced for the Burst System's Gatinko Layer System, debuting in Japan on June 22nd, 2019 inside the B-144 Booster Zwei Longinus Drake Spiral' Metsu. Hasbro's western release stylized the name as Lúinor, shipping in the Pro Series Starter Pack Zwei Lúinor Blitz-P Xtend+ Metsu with the same tooling but weaker plastic. Two dragon heads form the chip's design, and it holds a standard weight with two hard locks, close in construction to Valkyrie, that keep Burst Resistance high without a Dash Driver; its symmetry also gives it strong balance for left-spin Bases, and with the Goku Weight attached it can approach Diabolos 1 for sheer mass while offering noticeably better balance.

In Play

The community rates Longinus among the strongest left-spin Gatinko Chips for its balance and Burst Resistance, though it is only a near-necessity in the WBO's Burst Limited Format for bladers running the little-used Erase Base, and the whole Gatinko Layer System is treated as too light for the current Standard metagame; it has no legality in the Burst Classic Format at all, leaving the chip a collection piece in every ratified format.
