About This Part
Diablo is a Fusion Wheel Takara Tomy released for the 4D System, debuting in Japan on December 27, 2011 with the BB-122 Starter Diablo Nemesis X:D and reaching western stores in December 2012 as the Spark FX Diablo Nemesis X:D Starter Pack. At 51 grams it is the heaviest wheel the Metal Saga toyline ever produced, pulling design cues from Leone, Lynx, and Orion into its Metal Frame, and it was the first Fusion Wheel built with a free-spinning gimmick, switching between an "Attack Mode" that keeps the X Drive 4D Bottom adjustable and an "Ultimate Balance Mode" that lets the Metal Frame spin loose between the Core and the bottom.
In Play
Attack Mode is considered the stronger of the two, letting Diablo pair with tips beyond the outclassed X Drive and hit hard, while Ultimate Balance Mode's theoretical stamina gains are undone by the disturbance of impact; despite its bulk it suits attack and balance builds better than pure defence or stamina ones.
- Debuted in Japan on December 27, 2011 with BB-122 Starter Diablo Nemesis X:D.
- Reached western countries in December 2012 as the Spark FX Diablo Nemesis X:D Starter Pack.
- A hollowed-out Hybrid Wheel System version of Diablo turns up in the files of the Beyblade: Evolution video game.
