About This Part

Blitz is a Fusion Wheel Takara Tomy released as part of the 4D System, debuting in Japan on August 6, 2011 with the BB-117 Strongest Blader Set and reaching western markets through the BB-117-FX Spark FX Starter Pack Blitz Striker 100RSF. It splits into a 12.6-gram Metal Frame and a 31.1-gram Core, and can be reconfigured between an Assault Attack Mode, where the Frame's three protrusions fit against the Core's contact points for three long wings per side, and a Barrage Attack Mode, which splits those into six shorter wings. Assault Attack Mode is the stronger of the two, offering steadier contact and less recoil.

In Play

Blitz was once a leading right-spin Smash Attack wheel, capable of knocking an opponent out even at low spin speed, but its high recoil left it weak against left-spin rivals like L-Drago, and it fell behind heavier wheels such as Flash and the Synchrome System's Defense parts. The community now treats it as a collection piece rather than a competitive choice.
