About This Part
Under is a Frame Takara Tomy issued for the Burst System, the God Layer System and the SwitchStrike System. It debuted in Japan on December 28, 2017 inside the B-101 Random Booster Vol. 9 Beat Kukulcan.7U.Hn, then reached western markets through Hasbro's SwitchStrike Starter Pack carrying Boom Khalzar K3 7Under Hunter. It has a diamond shape with clockwise corner points angled downward, similar to Force or Cross, meant to boost Burst Attack on contact in Right-Spin builds while cutting recoil in Left-Spin use. The downward angle roughens its perimeter enough to cost it Life-After-Death against Cross or Glaive, but Under's above-average weight still helps Attack setups paired with Core Discs like 0 or 7.
In Play
The community values Under for adding weight to Attack combinations, though being lighter than Meteor or Bump keeps it a nice-to-have rather than an essential pickup.
- Debuted in Japan on December 28, 2017 with the B-101 Random Booster Vol. 9 Beat Kukulcan.7U.Hn.
- Reached western countries through Hasbro's SwitchStrike Starter Pack Boom Khalzar K3 7Under Hunter.
- A Gold Ver. of Under was given out through a Japanese Bey Ticket Campaign, where entering and winning special events earned tickets redeemable for prizes like this recolor.
The Competitive View
Its downward-angled perimeter is too rough to aid Life-After-Death in Defense/Stamina combos like Cross or Glaive, but its above-average weight adds strong Attack potential when paired with heavy Core Discs like 0 or 7.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Under is a welcome addition rather than a must-have, since it is lighter than Meteor or Bump.
