About This Part

Reach is a Frame Takara Tomy issued for the Burst System and the Cho-Z Layer System. It debuted in Japan on April 28, 2018 inside the B-111 Random Booster Vol. 10 Crash Ragnaruk.11R.Wd. Its round body carries six large clockwise blades set at two different heights, a shape meant to boost Burst Attack on Disc-to-Layer contact in Right-Spin builds, though that contact rarely happens; the blade direction also cuts recoil when the piece is used on Left-Spin builds instead. The lower set of blades roughens its edge enough to cost it Life-After-Death against Cross or Glaive, but Reach's above-average weight still helps Attack setups paired with Core Discs like 0 or 7.

In Play

The community values Reach for adding weight to Attack combinations, though being lighter than Meteor or Bump keeps it a nice-to-have rather than an essential pickup.

The Competitive View

The lower set of blades roughens the perimeter enough to blunt Life-After-Death in Defense/Stamina combos like Cross or Glaive, but its heavier-than-average weight gives strong Attack potential paired with Core Discs like 0 or 7.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Similar to Under, Reach is a welcome addition rather than a must-have since it is lighter than Meteor or Bump.

  • Round shape with six large clockwise blades at two heights (three higher, three lower)
  • One of the heavier Frames in the metagame
