About This Part
Meteor is a Frame Takara Tomy and Hasbro issued for the Burst System, the God Layer System and the SwitchStrike System. It debuted in Japan on May 27, 2017 with the booster Alter Chronos 6Meteor Trans, then reached western markets through the SwitchStrike Starter Pack carrying Alter Cognite C3 6Meteor Trans. Its five-sided body carries many bumps around the rim, and it ranks among the thickest Frames made, pairing well with Core Discs such as 7 for strong Attack potential.
In Play
The community treats Meteor as a collection piece in Standard and Classic play since Core Disc and Frame builds fall behind the newer Forge Discs, but ranks it a solid second choice for Attack combinations in the Limited format whenever Bump is unavailable.
- Debuted in Japan on May 27, 2017 with the booster Alter Chronos 6Meteor Trans.
- Reached western countries through the SwitchStrike Starter Pack Alter Cognite C3 6Meteor Trans.
The Competitive View
One of the thickest/heaviest Frames, adding significant weight to Core Discs (2/4/5/7/8) for Attack potential in the combo Legend Spriggan/Sieg Xcalibur 2/4/5/7/8 Meteor Xtreme.
Verdict as the draft gives it: A must-have Frame for Attack combinations as the heaviest weight-add option.
- Debut: B-82 Booster Alter Chronos 6Meteor Trans, May 27, 2017
- Pentagonal shape, numerous protrusions, too small to touch the opponent's layer

Works with
- Works with Core Discs 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 and the Xtreme tip.
