About This Part

Lift is a Frame Takara Tomy issued for the Burst System, the Cho-Z Layer System and the SlingShock System. It debuted in Japan on July 14, 2018 inside the B-118 Random Booster Vol. 11 Vise Leopard.12L.Ds, then reached western markets through Hasbro's Vice Leopard L4 and Silver-X Jumbo Jormuntor J4 Dual Pack. It is a thick disc with many bumps around its edge, built to flip between a round 'Defense Mode' resembling Bump and a rougher 'Attack Mode' resembling Under, a gimmick borrowed from the Zero-G SA160 track. That flip mechanism rarely does much, since most Burst Performance Tips sit at similar heights, but Lift's bulk still makes it one of the heaviest Frames made, heavier than Bump, pairing well with Core Discs like 7, 10 and 0.

In Play

The community values Lift's weight for Attack combinations but flags its size as a serious scrape and Stamina risk that keeps banking patterns out of reach even on Destroy-based builds, and considers it outclassed overall by Bump, leaving it a collection piece rather than a competitive pick.

  • Debuted in Japan on July 14, 2018 with the B-118 Random Booster Vol. 11 Vise Leopard.12L.Ds.
  • Reached western countries through Hasbro's Vice Leopard L4 and Silver-X Jumbo Jormuntor J4 Dual Pack.

The Competitive View

Because most Burst tips sit at similar heights, the Frame-to-tip contact the flip gimmick depends on rarely occurs, making the mode switch largely cosmetic; its real value is raw added weight, boosting attack potential when paired with heavy Core Discs like 0/2/4/5/7 in combos such as Winning Valkyrie/Z Achilles/Sieg Xcalibur Lift Xtreme/Jolt.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Rated a must-have for competitive bladers for the weight boost it gives attack combos, despite the largely non-functional flip gimmick.

  • Heaviest Frame at time of writing, heavier than Bump
  • Flip-to-switch Attack Mode / Defense Mode gimmick

Related parts named in the draft: Bump, Under, Winning Valkyrie, Z Achilles, Sieg Xcalibur, Xtreme, Jolt.
