About This Part
Expand is a Frame Takara Tomy issued for the Burst System, the Cho-Z Layer System and the SlingShock System. It debuted in Japan on December 27, 2018 inside the B-130 Random Booster Vol. 13 Air Knight.12E.Et, then reached western stores through Hasbro's SlingShock Starter Pack carrying Air Knight K4 12Expand Eternal-S. It is a round, wide piece with four smooth blades and six gaps between them, a layout meant to echo the Upper Force design of the Maximum Garuda and Air Knight Energy Layers, though in practice the blades create drag rather than lift. Its wide, round build instead keeps the Energy Layer clear of the stadium floor when the Beyblade tilts, giving Expand Stamina and Life-After-Death on par with Cross, Glaive and Proof.
In Play
The community pairs Expand with heavy Core Discs such as 0 and 00 for greater Knock-Out Resistance and versatility, and rates it a must-have for competitive play.
