About This Part
Axe is a Frame Takara Tomy released for the Burst System and the Superking Layer System, debuting in Japan on December 26, 2020 inside the B-176 Random Booster Vol. 23. It is a wide triangular piece descended from Vortex, carrying the same wave-shaped detailing on each of its three sides but built thicker and wider. That extra bulk makes Axe one of the heaviest Frames on the market, and it pairs with Core Discs such as 7 and 00 for strong Attack potential.
In Play
The community considers Core Disc and Frame combinations, Axe included, outdone by the newer Forge Discs of the Dynamite Battle Layer System, so it stays a collection-only pick in the Standard and Classic formats; in the Limited format it serves as a backup Attack choice when Bump or Meteor are not on hand.
- Debuted in Japan on December 26, 2020 with the B-176 Random Booster Vol. 23.
- Axe arrived two years after Expand, the Frame released before it.
- It is the only Frame never issued in either the God Layer System or the Cho-Z Layer System.
