About This Part
Hasbro brought Phoenix P7 into western markets with the Interstellar Drop Battle Set as a right-spin Drive Chip for the QuadDrive System. Its face shows a bird rising out of flames, standing in for the Phoenix, the immortal bird of legend that gives the linked Energy Layer its name. The part carries an average weight for its class and average resistance to Bursting.
In Play
The community places QuadDrive Layers well behind Takara Tomy's Cho-Z Layer System and later lines, and among Hasbro's own right-spin Drive Chips Phoenix P7's average slope leaves it behind tighter options such as Perseus P7, so it is treated as a collection piece rather than a tournament part; it is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.
- Released by Hasbro for the Burst System and QuadDrive System.
- Debuted in western markets with the Interstellar Drop Battle Set.
