About This Part

Zenith, like Magnum, Jerk and Polish, pairs a metal core with a plastic perimeter that carries the Disc's gimmick, though its core uses three Z-shaped blades rather than those Discs' own designs. Rubber sections inside the plastic are meant to add recoil and lift attack potential during disc-to-layer contact, but most Burst Performance Tips sit at similar heights so that contact is rare, and when it happens the rubber can brake the combination instead; because the rubber reaches the underside too, combined with Zenith's rough rim, it has essentially no life-after-death. Zenith debuted in Japan on November 17th, 2018 with the B-127 Starter Cho-Z Valkyrie Zenith Evolution and later reached the west relabelled Zenith-P through Hasbro's Elite Champions Pro Set.

In Play

Zenith's metal core runs noticeably heavier than Magnum, Jerk or Polish, in the range of common Core Disc-plus-Frame setups, and its triangular shape pairs especially well with Valkyrie-series Layers, lifting their attack potential without upsetting balance — though that same weight spread and its rubber sections cut into its versatility elsewhere. The community rates it a welcome addition generally, and a must-have for anyone building around Cho-Z Valkyrie.

The Competitive View

Because Layer-to-Disc contact is rare at standard Burst heights, the rubber cushioning seldom triggers, and when it does it brakes the combination's speed; the rubber on the underside plus a rough perimeter also kill life-after-death, while the light, plastic-heavy, centralized-weight build hurts mobility, stamina, and knockout resistance.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Recommended for collection purposes only — too light to be effective, and its rubber and perimeter design nullify life-after-death unlike most other metal-core discs.

  • Metal core with three 'Z'-shaped blades
  • Rubber-cushioned plastic perimeter, extending to the disc's underside

Related parts named in the draft: Magnum, Jerk, Polish.
