About This Part

Vertical takes the shape of an upside-down funnel, like its predecessor Armed, but drops at a sharper, straighter angle rather than Armed's gradual curve. A jagged, line-like pattern frames several holes around its rim and eight protrusions underneath. It debuted in Japan on April 29th, 2016 with the B-41 Starter Wild Wyvern Vertical Orbit and later reached the west through Hasbro's Wild Wyvron W2 and Omni Odax O2 Dual Pack. Despite echoing Armed's shape, it lacks Armed's burst resistance and trails Spread and Gravity for stamina.

In Play

Vertical falls behind Spread and Gravity in both stamina and burst resistance, keeping it out of top-tier combinations and leaving it a collector's piece.

  • Debuted in Japan on April 29th, 2016 with the B-41 Starter Wild Wyvern Vertical Orbit.

The Competitive View

Shares Armed's funnel shape but not its burst resistance, and offers less stamina than top discs like Spread and Gravity, so it isn't a strong pick for either burst defense or stamina.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Outclassed by Armed for burst resistance and by Spread/Gravity for stamina; not recommended for competitive play.
