About This Part

Tapered-Q is Hasbro's QuadDrive Disc built after Takara Tomy's Tapered, keeping the same diameter and downward-sloping cone along with matching outward weight distribution and stamina potential. A hollowed underside trims roughly 3 grams from the weight of its DB Disc counterpart, yet it remains the heaviest QuadDrive Disc released and has the smallest weight gap of any QuadDrive-to-DB pairing. It debuted in western markets with the QuadDrive Starter Pack Vanish Fafnir F7 Tapered-Q Xtend+-Q+Kick-3.

In Play

Bladers see little reason to run Tapered-Q over the heavier original Tapered in the Burst format. Its weight sits just under GT Discs, but its conical shape and mass still make it an excellent stamina piece with Drivers such as Bearing' and High Xtend+', earning it must-have status in the WBO's Burst GT format; it is likewise a must-have in the Burst Limited format, where its weight compares with Hasbro's Wheel-SP and with Core Disc and Disc Frame pairings. It is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic format.
