About This Part
Swipe is a Hasbro Disc for the HyperSphere System, built on the design of Takara Tomy's Hybrid Disc-Integrated Driver and carrying that part's symmetrical layout and detailing. Its build closely mirrors the 8 and 8' Core Discs and shares their outward weight distribution, though unlike those two it has no Knuckle-style gaps. Its underside is hollowed out to bring it down to the standard 20-gram weight shared by HyperSphere Discs, and like other HyperSphere and Core Discs it can accept a Disc Frame. It debuted in western markets with the HyperSphere Starter Pack Royal Genesis G5 Swipe Hybrid-H.
In Play
Bladers rate Swipe a plainly weaker version of the 8-series Core Discs; it is too light to compete in the current Standard metagame against Discs such as Wheel and Over, and in the Limited format it likewise trails Core Discs like 8' and 00, leaving it a collector's piece across formats (it is also not legal in Burst Classic).
