About This Part
Spread is a Disc made by Takara Tomy and Hasbro for the Burst System, first appearing in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-02 DX Starter Spriggan Spread Fusion and later reaching western shelves through the Spryzen and Odax Dual Pack. It is a fully round Disc, smooth along its rim and underside apart from four small bumps beneath the prongs, with stylized blade art across the top and an S marking the prongs that seat into the Energy Layer. Its strong outward weight distribution and thin, aerodynamic profile suit stamina-focused builds, and depending on the Performance Tip fitted it can keep rolling after a fall for a few extra rotations, buying time against an opponent's spin.
In Play
Spread's weight spread and life-after-death made it a strong stamina pick for a stretch, but the community now favours Discs such as Gravity and Knuckle, along with Core Discs and Disc Frames, leaving Spread suited mainly to collecting. It still surfaces in a few named combos: Deathscyther Spread Revolve for raw stamina, Deathscyther Spread Accel on the Tornado Ridge, and Valkyrie Spread Trans as an attack-stamina hybrid.
- Debuted in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-02 DX Starter Spriggan Spread Fusion.
- Debuted in western markets with the Spryzen and Odax Dual Pack.
