About This Part

Quarter is a Takara Tomy disc for the Burst System's Dual Layer System, a wide, pipe-shaped piece broken up by four rounded rectangular studs, one of them marked with a raised "Q". It debuted in Japan on December 28th, 2016 with a Random Booster Vol. 5 release, later reaching western markets through Hasbro's Giga Gaianon G2 and Doomscizor dual pack. Its underside runs mostly hollow except for the marked stud, which is half-filled with metal, giving it a deliberately unbalanced weight distribution heavier than Heavy or Gravity; that lopsided weight can add flail-like momentum to attack builds or, placed opposite an unevenly weighted layer such as Xcalibur, help balance a whole combination for better stamina and burst resistance, though the same imbalance makes it a poor fit for stamina and defence builds since an unbalanced beyblade bursts more easily.

In Play

The community values Quarter for its synergy with attack types and other unbalanced parts, though the arrival of 1 and 1' has overtaken its old niche as a balancing weight, leaving it recommended mainly for collecting.

The Competitive View

Quarter's uneven weight boosts smash-attack momentum in attack builds and can be used to counterbalance an already-unbalanced layer like Xcalius for better stamina, but that same imbalance makes it burst more easily in stamina or defense roles.

Verdict as the draft gives it: A welcome but non-essential addition; excellent synergy with attack-type and unbalanced parts, but its imbalance limits broader use.
