About This Part

Polish is a Takara Tomy disc for the Burst System's Dual Layer System, built like Magnum and Jerk from a metal core wrapped in plastic, with a "P" embossed on either face. It debuted in Japan on November 12th, 2016 with the Beyblade Super Custom Set Speed Ver., later reaching western markets through Hasbro's starter Phrenic Phantazus P2 Polish Edge. Its plastic forms a smooth, perfectly circular skirt meant to raise Life-After-Death for stamina combinations, and while that effect works as intended, the metal-core-plus-plastic build gives it Centralized rather than Outward Weight Distribution, so spin retention suffers and combinations become easier to out-spin, while the light overall weight leaves them vulnerable to knock-outs.

In Play

The community values Polish in spin-equalization combinations, such as Drain Fafnir or Spriggan Requiem paired with a free-spinning tip like Atomic, Hold, or Destroy, where its low weight and high Life-After-Death help a build equalize spin and out-spin an opponent, though it stays exposed to knock-outs against attack combinations even in opposite-spin matchups; measured against alternatives such as a Core Disc and disc frame combination like 7Cross, it is judged a welcome addition rather than essential.

  • Debuted in Japan on November 12th, 2016 with the Beyblade Super Custom Set Speed Ver.
  • Reached western markets with Hasbro's starter Phrenic Phantazus P2 Polish Edge.

The Competitive View

Its wide, round, smooth-perimeter shape favors outward weight distribution and life-after-death, comparable to Spread but excelling further at LAD, and the smooth wide rim also blocks the opponent from striking the Layer's underside for some defensive value.

  • Weight approximately 20.5 grams
  • Metal core plus POM (PolyOxyMethylene) plastic outer ring
  • 'P' identifying letter embossed on the ring itself rather than on prongs, unlike other Forge Discs
  • Product: B-65 Beyblade Super Custom Set (Speed Ver.); no confirmed Hasbro release
