About This Part
Outer, styled as Ωuter, is a Takara Tomy disc for the Burst System's God Layer System and SwitchStrike System, cut in a wide, nearly circular shape with large gaps separating its centre from its rim. It debuted in Japan in August 2017 with a Rare Bey Get prize booster, Orichalcum Outer Octa, and later reached western markets through Hasbro's SwitchStrike starter Orichalcum O3 Outer Octa. The gaps push Outward Weight Distribution and stamina higher while its round rim adds Life-After-Death, giving it among the strongest stamina and Life-After-Death figures of any disc in the line without the burst risk carried by lighter, similarly shaped discs such as Ring or the 2/4/5/7 core disc and frame combinations.
In Play
The community built strong stamina setups around Outer, such as Guardian Kerbeus, Galaxy Zeus, Drain Fafnir, or Deep Chaos paired with Revolve or Atomic, where Outer's weight, Life-After-Death, and burst resistance combine with the layer's own traits to out-spin and withstand stamina, defence, and attack types; it has since been overtaken by heavier core disc and frame combinations using 0 and 00 and by discs such as Wheel and Over, leaving it a welcome collection piece rather than a must-have.
