About This Part

Nexus is a Takara Tomy disc for the Burst System's Dynamite Battle Layer System, a DB disc carrying eight blades split between an upper and lower tier that suit attack builds best. It debuted in Japan on April 24th, 2021 with the B-180 booster Dynamite Belial Nexus Venture-2. Either the S Gear or D Gear evolution gear can mount on it the way a Core Disc takes a disc frame: the S Gear locks in place when set face-up, seating its four tabs into Nexus's grooves, or free-spins when flipped face-down, while the D Gear slides a short distance on impact to push back an opposing beyblade.

In Play

Without an evolution gear the community rates Nexus behind heavier, more versatile DB discs such as Illegal and Over, but fitted with the S Gear in locked mode it becomes an excellent attack piece and, despite a scrape risk, the heaviest DB disc available; run in free-spin mode it also suits stamina builds using spin-equalization tips such as Bearing' and High Xtend+', and the D Gear performs comparably in either role, making Nexus with the S Gear a welcome addition to the WBO's Burst format.
