About This Part
Moon is a Takara Tomy disc for the Burst System's Dynamite Battle Layer System and the Burst Ultimate Layer Series, a circular DB disc with an outer plastic ring that nods to the Expand frame. It debuted in Japan on September 10th, 2022 with the B-202 Random Booster Vol. 30. Two gaps separate its centre from its rim to push Outward Weight Distribution and stamina higher, and it shares the "BU Lock" gimmick with Xanthus: raised studs on its tabs seat into a compatible DB core's grooves for extra burst resistance and a sturdier fit that resists shaking during battle.
In Play
Like Xanthus, Moon's low-hanging shape carries a scrape risk, so the community pairs it with tall drivers such as Mobius or Quick', and it rates behind circular DB discs like Over and Illegal outside of decks built specifically around the BU Lock gimmick, where it is judged the stronger of the two BU Lock discs; it is a welcome but non-essential piece for the WBO's Burst format, and is not legal in Burst GT, Limited, or Classic.
