About This Part
Mugen-L is the left-spin counterpart to Mugen, a Disc-Integrated Driver Takara Tomy made for the Burst System's Cho-Z Layer line, debuting in Japan on October 20th, 2018 with the B-126 Cho-Z Musou Beystadium. Like Mugen it has no separable Forge Disc and its prongs are too wide and thick for any launcher to grip, so it is meant to spin only inside the Mugen or Musou Beystadium. Its underside carries a wide, shallow cone tip with a built-in magnet, comparable to an oversized Wide Defense tip carrying the magnetism of Prototype Nemesis from the Metal Fight era; the magnet locks onto the stadium's motorized centre so the top settles back into a stable, stamina-sparing spin after being struck, while its heft resists being knocked out. A firmer spring than most Drivers also boosts the Burst Resistance of the Layer riding on it, useful for practising Banking Shoots or testing a build's resilience to Bursting or being launched out. The metal section carries engravings naming the toyline's development staff.
In Play
With no launcher able to fit it, Mugen-L cannot enter sanctioned matches and has no competitive standing of its own; its appeal instead comes from how well it showcases the Musou Beystadium's motorized centre.
