About This Part
Hasbro's Hurricane is a disc for the HyperSphere branch of the Burst line, debuting in western stores through the Vertical Drop Battle Set. It follows the outline of Takara Tomy's Hurricane but is cast as a single metal piece with a saw-blade rim rather than a metal core paired with a separate plastic part, and its protrusion count drops from 16 to 12. Like other HyperSphere discs it can take a Disc Frame, and its underside is hollowed to bring it down to the standard 20-gram HyperSphere weight.
In Play
The community views Hasbro's Hurricane as too light and poorly shaped for serious use, calling it a weaker version of an already outclassed Takara Tomy design, with no legal standing in the WBO's Burst Classic format, leaving it suited only to a collection.
- Debuted in western countries with the Vertical Drop Battle Set.
