About This Part
Fortress is a disc Takara Tomy released for the Dynamite Battle Layer System and Burst Ultimate Layer Series, debuting in Japan on May 28th, 2022 inside the B-198 Random Booster Vol. 29 assortment. Its hexagonal, symmetrical build pushes weight strongly toward the rim, with wide gaps separating the centre hub from the outer edge to boost that spread and stamina, making it one of the heaviest discs of its kind alongside Giga and Over. It falls slightly behind those two against opposite-spin opponents but matches or beats them for attack thanks to its shape and heft, and pairs especially well with the Guilty blade.
In Play
Competitive players see Fortress as a strong, if not essential, pick for attack-oriented builds in the WBO's Burst format, particularly alongside the Guilty blade, though it holds no legal standing in the WBO's Burst GT, Limited, or Classic formats.
